Maybe this will shock some of you, but God didn’t save you to have a comfortable life on this Earth. He saved us so we could extend His Kingdom. So we could bear fruit (John 15.16). We have a mission,
we all have gifts and talents that make us the perfect person to accomplish a specific calling. This will not be easy, but it will be rewarding because it is God’s goal for our lives.
But God is also our Father. He loves us and He wants to bless us through our journey in making His Kingdom grow (Jer 29.11). Take the story of Ruth, for example. She didn’t follow Naomi to meet Boaz. She followed Naomi to take care of her and to serve her God. Then the blessing followed.
Working on expanding His Kingdom is not going to be easy. Sometimes, we will need to put in a lot of effort, but if we persevere, we will move forward and see the results in all the areas of our life (Pro 13.4, Pro 20.4).
A lot of people are still singles because they are not where they are supposed to be in their calling. I have a little story that will explain this better. A girl felt in her heart that she should go on a missionary trip. This project was God’s plan for her, and the beginning of her calling. Not only would she expand the Kingdom of God, but God had convinced a charming guy to go on the same trip. Sadly, the girl changed her mind last minute. She missed not only the opportunity to make His Kingdom grow, but she also missed the opportunity to meet this charming young man.
Good thing there’s isn’t just one person for you on Earth, a soul-mate! God inspired her again to do another project for His Kingdom, and during this project, God knew of another nice young man that would work with her on the project. By taking the second opportunity, she met the young man and love bloomed.
When we miss an opportunity, God will always present us another one. There will always be a way to serve God according to our gifts and talents, and God is never out of “good matches”. Don’t miss God’s opportunities. Not only you will make His Kingdom grow, but you will also expose yourself to His blessings. (Ecc 11.6)
