Before entering a new year, it is good to take a moment and rejoice in our little victories before the end of the year. It’s a good exercise to do personally, but we also enjoy doing it for Passion374.
In 2016, we had the opportunity to bring together several singles from different churches at our conferences. In English and French, in Montreal and Sherbrooke; We had great meetings, and we hope to continue this momentum.
To help Singles find each other, we also announced the project “Share the Passion” which aims to multiply the number of social activities for Christian singles in all regions. We will redouble our efforts in consolidating this project in 2017!
In 2016, we presented two workshops that answered many questions from Singles and created new friendships among Christians from different churches. Passion374 does that too! We will resume these two workshops in 2017, the first one being on January 28th, 2017 (in French though).
Of course, we continued to publish a new encouraging bilingual message for Singles each week. Here are the five most popular posts in English:
One thing we should stop saying to Singles
If there is one phrase that a single Christian hears often, it is: “God is preparing someone special for you.” We hear it so often that we can become irritated by it. This encouragement seems spiritual, but is it biblical?
Why am I still single? What is it about me that pushes possible matches away? Being single is not always easy on our self-esteem.
It’s hard to miss social media these days. Who doesn’t have a Facebook or Twitter account, or a few albums on Instagram? What you display on these sites says a lot about who you are, and what kind of partner you are looking for.
It’s been few weeks that I have had in my heart to write on this very personal subject. I’ll share my testimony with you and what I’ve learned on this topic. I hope this will be useful for someone.
So you’re single with no one in sight. Great! This is the perfect time for you to start building your marriage!
Thank you for your support and happy New Year to you all!
