Then here are some questions to discuss:
A goal is something you can do for yourself. Marriage cannot, therefore, be a goal, because it takes 2 people to get married! But what goals can you give yourself to be more ready to get married?
Do you have other personal or professional goals that you could share with us?
Do you have a spiritual goal or plan? Something you have in heart to do to make the Kingdom of God grow?
What are the benefits of sharing our goals with others? What are the disadvantages?
How do you recover from the disappointment of not having achieved one of your goals?
Marriage cannot be a goal, but it can be a dream. When you imagine yourself married, what does your couple look like? What will be your strengths, your activities, your service for God?
Imagining our future marriage can also show us how much we need to improve. Is there anything you still need to work on to become a better potential partner?
Where do you turn to when you need help in a certain area?
According to the talents God has given you, what type of people could you help?
Give a testimony about someone you helped, and how it gave glory to God.
Some verses to study:
Luke 9:57-62
Ephesians 2:10
Matthew 25:14-30
Some prayer points to conclude:
Pray for everyone’s goals.
Pray for those who need to be comforted to have missed a goal.
Pray for the dreams of marriage: that your future couples may make the Kingdom of God grow.
